Nur ein Wort (Wir sind Helden)

Today (and yesterday) were perfect weather days. Around 65 to 70*F or so; the sun shining, a breeze blowing. I've spent a bunch of time outside now. There's an adorable little patch of grass next to the campus chapel with benches - the ideal place to study outside since no one ever sits there. Also spent some time with the roomie on the swings over in Davis Field reading as well, and then today - since Katie never showed up for church, or we secretly somehow missed her - we sat outside with Odile and Krystle and just talked for an hour or so. Odile folded laundry outside; it was nice enough. Hopefully these days tend to outweigh the cold ones for the rest of February. Of course the best part was Victoria and Krystle practising the foxtrot and the waltz and the tango out in front of the building together. Highly amusing.

Yesterday was the sort of day that called for songs like "Crooked Teeth," "Linger," "1234," and just about anything by John Mayer. It was definitely not the sort of weekend designed to encourage productivity. Which unfortunately meant that no reading got done of the Homeric Hymns or Hesiod's Theogony. Shame.

In other news, I've gone on a huge card-making kick. Luckily, no one reads this yet, so I can put up pictures of the ones I've made thus far without ruining any surprises. Having the really pretty cardstock has just fed a latent obsession...and making paper in chemistry didn't help matters either. Nicely, though, they just keep getting better with each card I make, so come time for graduation and everyone's birthdays, they'll be gorgeous.
